Many things are poorly written in this world. But, who would’ve thought the multi-award winning Game of Thrones would fall under that bracket?

When you google ‘bad writers,’ Game of Thrones writers David Benioff and DB Weiss are among the first images to appear. Even worse though, a Reddit thread dedicated to their supposedly substandard work is the very first link shown. Ouch.

The thread titled ‘Bad Writers. Upvote this post so its the first result when you google “Bad writers.”’ created by a salty Game of Thrones fan was made around the finale seaon and it can now be confirmed that it has achieved its goal of being the primary link on a google search of the term ‘bad writers.’

The reason for this upheaval may have something to do with the final season of Game of Thrones which left a bitter taste in the mouths of many die-hard fans.

A lot of the criticism in regards to the season finale was that many found it anti-climatic and spotted many editing mistakes such as a Starbucks cup left on the set.

Despite the disappointment, in the UK alone, a whopping 3.1 million viewers tuned in to watch the final episode of Game of Thrones as it was broadcast at 2am. Another 527,000 caught the repeat on the Monday evening.

Prior to the most recent season, Game Of Thrones has been a much loved series, which is probably what made the fall seem so much greater.

One Reddit user quoted SpongeBob in his disappointment: ‘They poisoned our water supply, burned our crops and delivered a plague unto our houses! They did? No, but are we just going to wait around until they do?!’

Translation? People aren’t happy.
