Winter will eventually come, but if you own this house, you’ll have a fascinating basement to hide in from all the White Walkers.
This is another excellent find from one of the best Twitter accounts out there, @ZillowGoneWild.
The most recent post from Zillow Gone Wild is this modest split-level house in Lombard, IL.
The 3 bedroom, 5 bathroom, 2,804 sqft home is being listed for $389,900 and looks like your regular, suburban family home from the outside.
It’s a home that looks like it would be used on a network sitcom to display where the middle class family the show is about lives.
Basically, this house looks like it’s where the family from The Goldbergs live.
The upstairs interior also looks very normal.
Here we have a very clean, if not lightly appointed, living room. It honestly looks a little too clean.
This kitchen might be the most interesting room the upstairs has to offer, and that’s just because I’m fascinated by the darker wood that trims the stove, hood, sink, and cabinet. I think it looks good but I’m not sure.
I’d show you more pictures of the upstairs but you get it. It’s a basic home that you’ve probably seen 1,000 times.
It’s when you get to the basement that things get a little bit interesting.
What in Winterfell is this kind of decorating motif?
The deep reds contrasting with the wood paneling is quite the look and where did all this stuff come from? Is it all custom? That’s a lot of work for something that has basically zero resell value.
More family crests and a faux stained glass window. Beautiful.
The design even continues to the bathroom.
The orange and green really pop in here. I think I might actually like it.
But here’s the best part.
This bar is literally stunning. Load up on mead and tell a few tales around the tavern. It could all be yours for about $400K.
