Join me as I take a fun detour today discussing my opinion of the personality types of Game of Thrones characters! I discuss the characters in depth, including their use of various cognitive functions.

Find out which characters I would type as ENFJ, INFP, ESFP, ISFJ, INTJ and ENTJ.

Subscribe for more personality type discussions over coffee, every Tuesday and Thursday. Plus, bonus INFP Corner and INTJ Lair updated randomly!

Tell us your problems at INcoffeetime@gmail.com and we may just find an INFJ to listen.

  1. I just watched your videos about Perceiver vs Judger body language and I find it to be so accurate. It's interesting that people who share the same MBTI types do have similar body languages since it's the outward expression of how our mind works.

That being said, from the examples you mentioned here, Sam do have the most similar body movements as you (INFP). DT definitely move in a "Judger way" based on your aforementioned video discussion. But again, it's fictional and it's practically useless to debate about a certain character's MBTI because it's gonna be biased.

  2. I'm an INFP and I feel like Jon Snow is an INFP. Explains his loyalty, compassion, broodiness,  introverted, doesn't really like authority (he puts humanity before titles) , he's a martyr which is sometimes how INFPS are portrayed, true to his beliefs and values, shy etc… I could be wrong but he's my favourite character because of his personality and his values.

  3. I really love danearys and the sword girl whose name i cannot remember- arya! I heard she turned into an assasin. THEIR THE ONLY ONES I WANT TO WATCH THIS FOR GOSH DARNIT.

  4. I love this and really enjoy your videos! Definitely agree that Daenerys is an INFP (Fi dom all the way). In fact, I agree with all your typing and this and your other GoT video EXCEPT Melisandre. She's definitely an INFJ. INFJs have messianic, revolutionary visions. They see a different, better world and are willing to do anything to overthrow the current system to achieve it. She is definitely an Ni-dom. Her visions aren't really about seeing in the fire (what you call Se) – it's her deep Ni connection with the mystical/invisible. She is so gripped by her Ni vision, so certain that she is right, that she's willing to sacrifice Shireen. She is slow to update her faith even as the outside signs point to her side losing. She uses her Fe to convince everyone around her to buy into her Ni vision despite the high high costs. Her Ti enforces logic and order on her intuitions, transforming them into plans (not in a strategic sense, more in the detailed here is the incantation/ritual to achieve my evil ends). Se in INFJs is all about play – sex, clothes, jewelry. That's about right. Even if all this weren't true, there's no way she is the same type as Marjorie.

  5. Thank GOD! A GOT fan with common sense. DT is no way an INFJ. INFJs don't have that kind of authority and Te. Not long lasting anyway. We can be that way for very short periods, but it burns us out. Lord Varyes is an INFJ.

  6. Loved your analysis! You've convinced me with each one. Though one of the commenters below said that Sansa might be an Fi user, from the most recent seasons – that leaves ISFP with being the only viable option. I've got to pay more attention, but I definitely could see how she seemed more ISFJ in the previous seasons. I never found Fi to be her driver and she's clearly not an NFP nor an ESFP!

  7. Great video as always!
As you said, it's practically impossible to "type" fictional characters, as they're fictional and the product of multiple writers of different types. I think you're right on the money, with the possible exception of Sansa Stark. I think that she is an Fi user, which can be seen in the way that she's been dealing with certain events in the new season.
    All the best!
