  1. I personally suspect that the magic, if that’s the thing to call it, is all around and emanating from the same place – a central font of power, and some entities are simply better than others at finding and using it…perhaps just because they are LOOKING for it…

That central origin is somehow tied to the dragons, but beyond that, it doesn’t seem like something that we can really understand just now – it’s something that maybe Martin hasn’t decided to let us know, or maybe just an element that he will never elucidate upon – ? 🤔

  2. I’m not sure if the LoL is real. I think George’s wrote it so that they aren’t but I can’t be sure. But if I were to venture a guess, I would say that the LoL and he Great Other are the only ones that exist. On another note, you stated that Pyat Pree and Mirri Maz Duur were able to do magic without following gods. But MMD actually follows the Great Shepherd.

  3. I've always thought that R'hollr vs The Great other, Good vs Evil, God vs the Devil was way to black and white for GRRM. Even the Others have some motive for what they are doing. The battle of God's takes away from the human aspect of the story, and that is what GRRM does best, write about people interacting with people. I think the dieties are plot devices to give motives to characters like Mellisandre and create more of an epic tone for what is still a story about people.

  4. R'hllor and the Great Other are the ONLY beings that are real. The events we see on the TV show are representations of a table top board game being played by two contestants. The intro to each episode tries real hard to make it obvious. Planetos is a game board with moving features. The wall and the five forts are hinges of the world so that the playing area may be folded up for moving or storage when not in use. The Shadow Lands are in perpetual shadow because R'hllor has set his coffee mug at the edge of the map blocking direct light from the "sun". The people and characters are oblivious to only being pawns in a giant chess game. These two "gods" do not interfere more with direct and powerful magic because they have to follow the rules of the game. I can see The Other trash talking, "HA HA I manipulated the Knight's Watch into killing off your favorite game piece Jon Snow!" R'hllor says, "Not so fast I have a get out jail free card I will cash in to resurrect Jon Snow."

  5. Hello Robbert..Congratulations for the Vid..I think the Lord of Light exists and as the Hound and Davos [S6]did said is another one bloodthirsty lord that likes to see peoples killed for him[your Lord is Evil said Davos to Mel]..Also the name/title of Lord of the Light shows in me how GRRM is inspired by Tolkien…Rhilors title reminds me the Lord of the Rings..Saurons title ..In Tolkien the Lord of the Rings Sauron .is .the demon king that gathered all the Rings in one under his power for to use them as via for to oppress the peoples of the Middle Earth..The Lord of Light has difference..I think he is bad and evil too.. In the Greek Mythology the 12 Gods/Goddesses are described also as good and dark also..The Lord Apollo [Lord of Light]is also a good and evil god..He protected the Trojans and defended their country in the Iliad against the Greeks but he also make it Cassandra[the priestless on his temple]be cursed and her prophesies never to taken seriously from the peoples ..So the Lord of Light is the same..He resurrects peoples but also sacrifices kids for his prophesies..Also i think all those prophets in GOT[like Maggy,Bloodraven,Mell,Jaqen,Moggoro[on the books],Mirri,Quaithe,Pyat Pree and .The Maesters]are proofs that the Gods exists there and many of them might to have connection with Rhilor..the fiery heart statue on the House of Black and White wall, the red temple in Volantis,Mirri that was in Asshai and was the student of Maester Marwyn in the temples of Asshai,Quaithe who comes from the Shadow lands beneath Asshai,Moggoro who said to Danny your Dragons are fire made flesh and gifts from Rhilor and etc…are clues that the Lord of Light is the God of Gods there….He uses them for to prepare his champions[Jon/Danny/Bran] for the final battle with the Great Other and his champions[NK,Cercei and Euron]..Also i think the Red Priests are the most appropriate for that work to prepare the Lord of Lights champions ..Mellisandra for to resurrect Jon and to worship him as AA,Mirri Muz Dur for to make Danny reborn[after this childbirth she suffered in S1]along with the Dragons and to worship her as the Stalion who Mounts the World and Bloodraven to prepare Bran to be The Last Hero[you died in that cave Meera said]..Also the Great Other has also prepared his own champions for this battle..The Children of the Forest created NK,Maggy developed Cerceis paranoia by prophesies to her the Valonquar and the Younger Beautifull Queen who will overthrow her from the Throne and Damphair worship Euron as the God who will sit in the IT and will rule forever…Both Rhilor and his enemy are prepared for this final battle.nad they using their personal weapons for this fight …Light VS Dark..What do you think?

  6. Depends. If the mythology of Zeus, Hades, Theseus, and Persephone is based on history, then sure. R'haegar kidnapped Persephone and asked Aerys to ask Zeus/R'hllor'd-of-Light to ask the Night King to kindly stop resurrecting people, and Gods can't be expected to do their own work, so R'hllord of Light does fire charades to humans who had traumatizing fire baptismal experiences as children… so now the followers of R'hllor'd of Light are going to try to Burn Them All. Fire charades are difficult to interpret so they've been burning all kinds of stuff trying to figure out exactly what they're supposed to do. Something like that. Sounds historically plausible enough to me.

  7. I think R’hllor is the embodiment of fire and flame 🔥 as metaphor god for others to believe in its the same for the other gods too

You can put daenerys in as a goddess of flame as she is unburnt in people eyes in tv show though book are different of course
