Dragon Ball Super Episode 109 will not air this week, so instead let’s draw a comparison between the DBS Manga & Anime. Beers VS the 11 gods of destruction was great way for the manga to deviate from the Anime while at the same time keeping the Exhibition Match Hype!

  1. One Punch Man raised the bar a bit with its mesmerizing fight scenes.
I think DragonBall Super animation should be on par or Superior since it's the veteran of the two. Imo

  2. wiz did not say that there is a mortal who can take on the gods of destruction, he said that one of the 12 universe has a mortal who is stronger than the god of destruction of THAT UNIVERSE and solely that universe

  3. youre a bit off on how the manga and anime are being made, this has already been revealed by Toyotato, soooooo
Toriyama gave both the team for the anime and Toyotaro a script, this script said where the arc starts, specific details for the middle, and how it ends
to put an example lets take Zamazu arc, most likele the scrip had, the new characters and concept design, his basic origin outline, start of ambition, method to reach his ambition, participants in the fight, the "twist" (meaning 2 Zamazus), a mid stop travel to the past, the fusion, multiple Zamazus and Zenos end him (of course a bit more detailed on each case
from the scrip both take liberties on how they drive the story to its destination, BUT, and a reaaaally big BUT, in Toyotaros case he sends a rough of how he did it to Toriyama, and he then checks it, maybe deleat a few parts, add small changes to certain scenes or/and gives ideas how to improve certain scenes, Toyotaro also mentioned to this how its sometimes heartbreaking seen many panels compleatly scrapped by his model but gets real happy and exited when he compliments and/or gives the ideas to better the scenes and thats the back and forth for the month for them
basically, Toriyama is the editor for Toyotaro, while the aanime doesnt even take anything else but the initial script from Toriyama

  4. so far, HELL YEAH. I just hope they keep the Mary Sue out of the tournament of power and it'll be Perfect.

I stopped watching the anime after Future Trunks used the Spirit bomb as a sword.

  5. The Manga is LEAGUES. Outclasses the Anime in story telling and power scaling.
The future trunks arc actually felt tense, and the start of the Tournament of power is better explained.

  6. The manga and the anime each have their pros and cons.
Anime gave us Buu in action once more, which was sorely missed.
Manga gave us the Hakaishin Battle Royale, which is awesome.
So I can't say one is better than the other. Although I will admit the manga has some better explanations and twists.

  7. @Sawyer7mage Sorry Sawyer but you goofed. The anime never indicated that Gin was the strongest God of Destruction. Gin claimed to know what would happen and so chose not to participate. He didn't want to have to take part in the clean up and reconstruction of the arena from the destruction caused by their little battle.

  8. your the only one people hate the manga cause they are weaker than the anime and they tell a whole different story all together the nime has good fight scenes but its very trashh.. and the hand wrestling ish was said in the anime first

  9. Hey, Sawyer, you were wrong about there being a mortal stronger than a GoD(god of destruction) in one of the universes. In the anime Whis specifically, says that "There is a mortal so strong, even a GoD cannot defeat him and that GoD defeated Beerus in an arm wrestling match" Implying the mortal stronger than a GoD is in Quitella's(rat GoD) universe.

  10. I like the manga more I’ve even bought the first volume and the art is amazing unlike the anime (I know there are time differences in when the manga and anime is released) it just really pisses me off when toirutoru makes mistakes like the anime when he has a month to improve and change things

  11. The manga basically has either very basic, terrible or no characterization. It also has the same share of loose plot conviniences with very little foreshadowing.

Vegeta and Goku are cardboard cutouts and 90% of the other cast literally has had a line or two at most. The fights aren't tied with anything meaningful to the characters or any of the relationships they have, this goes for the Future Trunks arc especially.

The stuff that many call "irrelevant filler", like the Pan episode, the Future Trunks and Gohan episode and stuff like Goku getting angry at Chichi and Goten being killed or Vegeta and Trunks training together isn't there in the manga, but gives actual depth to the characters and makes you invested in what is going on in the story and as a result the manga has left me indifferent.

Cool, you explained the time travel and Goku forgetting the talisman better, but then Goku "doesn't know" about Gohan's birth, eventhough he's the one who named him. (How are you supposed interpret that?) As much as I love the art, there is a lot of ?????? in the manga and not in a way I can look past. DB has plenty of wonky plotting from the beginning and I don't see anything much worse than what the original series had. The manga just lacks all of the stuff that actually makes me care about what's going on.

  12. I think toei knows what they're doing probably gonna pull an fma have end of story go one way finish manga and revamp like fma brotherhood that stays closer to manga second time around
