Game of Thrones ended a few years ago, but HBO is keeping it alive with the spinoff House of the Dragon. And just recently they announced a second spinoff heading into production: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, based on George R.R. Martin’s Dunk and Egg novellas.
And those are only the two that they’ve officially ordered. HBO is developing many more, including a House of the Dragon prequel about Corlys Velaryon, a show about the founder of Dorne, a sequel series about Jon Snow, and more.
Fans are particularly interested in that Jon Snow show. Do we thin that one has a chance of happening?
Is the Game of Thrones sequel about Jon Snow still happening?
George R.R. Martin himself revealed details about the Jon Snow show a while back. Actor Kit Harington himself came up with the idea and approached HBO with a creative team already picked out, so clearly it means something to him.
That said, Harington has remained mum whenever someone asks about the Jon Snow show, as he should; until there’s something official to announce, it’s best to keep quiet.
There isn’t something official to announce just yet, but given that HBO (or rather HBO Max, now just going by Max) ordered another Game of Thrones spinoff project, it’s possible we’ll hear something sooner rather than later.
