Lord Varys is the master of whisperers in King’s Landing. As an orphan in Lys he apprenticed with a troupe of mummers travelling around performing. He was sold to a sorcerer who castrated him and used him for a blood magic ritual. This could be a sign that he has king’s blood, but isn’t the only evidence in this Varys is a Targaryen theory.

We're gonna make everyone a Targaryen now?
Varys Is one of my favorite characters, since his past is so secretive.
What we know of Varys is that he was born in Lys, traded as a slave to a
sorcerer who then castrated him and burnt his parts in a ritual. This
leads me to believe in a very plausible theory. Varys is a Targaryen. We
know from Melisandre that king's blood is required to perform her blood
magic, so that would make sense for the sorcerer to seek out Varys ,
specifically to perform this magic. We know many Targaryens had
connections to Lys but 1 stands out above the rest, Shiera Seastar.
Varys could be the child of Bloodraven and Shiera Seastar, and when
Bloodraven was sent to the wall by egg, Shiera could have gone back to
Lys where she had Varys. She later could have abandoned Varys or sold
him to the mummers so she could go to Asshai and further study blood
magic, (This makes me think Shiera could be Melisandre or Kinvara.) Even
if he is not Shiera's son, he must have some connection to King's
blood, which is why he was used for the ritual.
Well, Lord of Cunt likes to speak to his followers via royalty's blood.
So Varys might be a descendant of an Important Targaryen or something.

There's something there but your timing is off. If Varys is 16 in 248 he'd be 68 in 300, not his early 50's.
Interesting theory. To add to this he shaves his head to possibly hide his silver hair.
Most of the pieces fit! I really like this theory and i think that Varys being of targaryen ancestry is the reason why he sees backing Dany as something that will be "for the good of the realm"

Varys is a Targ/Targ Supporter in the Show, but a Blackfyre in the Books.
Actually, we do not know Varys sent assassins after Dany. We only know he SAID he sent assassins after her. We do know that he was interested in what she was doing and became even more interested when he learned she was pregnant.
basically i think the show runners had not yet decided to cut the Mummer's Dragon part of the story line when they introduced Ser Bariston Selmy to Danny. After all they had already said the Mummer's dragon part of the prophecy from the books in the show. So they obviously had been intending to do it.
It was most likely cut due to it's complexity.
But as the show stands there is another reason that fits.
Bariston saving danny is a great way to insure he is permitted to serve her. thereby putting the best sword alive to defend and council, the one Vrays intends to make Queen.
do you think varys will let his hair grow in after meeting dany? it would be the best way to prove his hidden lineage, right?
considering that all sources refer to the time after Varys' arrival to the court was the time the Mad King truly went mad…. im not sure whether to think he is a blackfyre who brainwashed the Mad King or if he was loyal to Rhaegar and not Aerys.
Varys is a Blackfire! He has white hair, so he shaves to nobody knows it.

I think this part says about Varys, leaving the tower of the magician who throw his parts on fire. Now he's a "stone beast", a "dragon without feelings for women". He breaths "shadow fire", because he's not considered a Targaryen, but a "Blackfire". "Mother of dragons, slayer of lies" says that Daenerys will know his secret, he's lying about who he is and his purposes to her.
In my opinion, his plannings are to educate and have the full thrust of little Egg, making he believes he's the successor of the realm; so he may control him like a puppet in the iron throne. He in fact wants to help Danny get there – once he didn't succeded kill her before and she will win the war for sure because of her army and her dragons – so he can have her trust and then, later, he'll dethrone her and put Egg there.
Just a note: I watched the series and i'm still reading the books, now in middle of book 3. The stuffs about little Egg I heard via Youtube videos, so I know just a bit. But people can help my theory with info about it if something wrong. Thanks!
