  1. All of Stephen King's Hoodlum Kids are psychotic killers.  Also the racial aspect was lost regarding Mike by moving the story from 1958 where racial tension was palpable, to the 1980's.  Also Pennywise has the adults in the town "blind" to the threat.

  2. They didn't utilize Mike in the version as good they did in the book and miniseries. I really don't like the plans they have for him in the sequel as an adult. “My idea of Mike in the second movie is quite darker from the book,” the filmmaker said. “I want to make his character the one pivotal character who brings them all together, but staying in Derry took a toll with him. I want him to be a junkie actually. A librarian junkie. When the second movie starts, he’s a wreck.”-Andy Muschietti. I did enjoy the movie but come on really a junkie 😑

  3. The book and mini-series (kids storyline)were set in the 50's….blacks were treated WAY DIFFERENT then…compared to IT 2017…witch takes place in 1989…that's why the racial tone was taken down a bit…and don't worry…Mikes character WILL BE the one who stays behind and brings the group back together(Confirmed by director)

  4. My top 5 Stephen King movies is:
    1. The Shining
    2. Stand by Me
    3. Carrie
    4. IT
    5. Misery
As for the characters in the film, my ranking goes like this:
    1. Beverly
    2. Richie
    3. Pennywise
    4. Eddie
    5. Bill

  5. Top 5 scenes that messed me up the most were 5. Sewer scene 4.Bill in the basement seeing Georgie 3. Projector scene 2. Beverly's bathroom messed me the fuck up, that shit was disturbing. 1. When Pennywise came out the fridge and was about to kill the Eddie kid.

  6. pennywise wasnt handled well. skarsgard had nothing to really say. no dialogue. it was mostly physical acting which was good, but theres no memorable quotes. all i remember now after the movie was how he looked and thats it

  7. My God Jody your opinions are the same as mine here! Adore the 90's Tim Curry great version! — however I had allot of different issues here — allot good here — however allot wasn't no way near close or better than Curry or allot of great character moments or choices in the 90's miniseries
