Jack Reacher fight scenes

Having read the Reacher Series, Tom Cruise is about 8 inches too short and about 70 pounds too light. This was terrible casting.

Funny when you think about it. Cruise is only 5' 7" standing on his toes. Kind of like the girls on TV shows kicking ass. Little 5' girls not weighing more than 100 lbs. beating up big guys. Don't think so.

Cruise is a good actor, but in the books, Reacher's size is mentioned a lot, and it makes a difference, eg the fact that he can look over most people's head in a crowd. So why not get  a tall actor for the role?

The fight scene with the two guys swinging the bat and crowbar is so freaking silly. It's probably the most ridiculous scene in the movie as well as cringy as Reacher gets hit with a baseball bat. I'm still like fuuuuuck whenever I see that scene because he has blood coming from there later on.

Jason Bourne is better, watch the Bourne Ultimatum and then tell me which movie is better

I was pleasantly surprised with this movie, but the bath tub fight scene is so fucking stupid. And the bar scene also lays it on a little too thick about how badass tom cruise is. I dont like when that stuff is overdone. Other than that, good movie!

I love how in the US a mere hint of a nipple in a tame period drama gets an R rating, but the brutality in Jack Reacher gets the less restrictive PG-13. T'is a strange place.

I love Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels, but the Reacher that Child writes about is nothing like the Reacher that Cruise portrays. Cruise's Reacher seems like an angry little man with a chip on his shoulder who needs to prove himself. Child's Reacher is more like a confident giant who simply wants to be left alone, but when circumstances warrant his fighting, he simply knows he will not lose. I can think of a lot of other actors who would have fit this part much better.
