I think it would be fantastic for Jamie & Brienne to finally concede their feelings to one another, then shortly after have Jamie finally take out his sis, the Black Queen, with the Frankenmountain attacking him. Jamie has little chance left handed and would almost certainly die, but with Brienne coming at Frankie with all the fury of a mother wolf. Frankie having been distracted & not expecting Brienne's attack could be mortally wounded, but only after mortally wounding Jamie, and perhaps Brienne too, with the lovers finally together as they die. This would add classic tragedy as well as be in keeping for GRRM's intense dislike of happy endings. Winter is coming…for them all!
I predict that Brienne and Jamie will fight together to defeat Cersie just as that batshit dumnass is about to give the order to destroy the Iron Throne, Kings Landing in a blaze of wildfire. Brienne, being the better overall fighter compared to a handicapped Jamie, will fight and slay the majority of Cersei's guard; including Robert Strong. Jamie, although handicapped, would be able to hold his own after being trained to fight capably by his trainer (book:Ser Yllen/show:Bronn). After most of the guard falls to the duo, Brienne tells Jamie to go forward while she fights zombie Clegane in one of the greatest fights of Westorosi history. Jamie confronts Cersie just as she's about to ignite the trigger for the wildfire. They have an emotional moment and ofcourse Jamie tries to reason; which ofcourse will fail as Cersie is a dumnass and completely crazed and enraged by this point. Jamie then rushes forward to embrace her, and then he stabs her in the heart. As Cersie
Is dying, and Jamie overcome with emotion, she manages to drop a match to ignite the cache of wildfire under the Red Keep. As the green flames slowly come to life, Jamie; heartbroken, elects to not run away. As the life leaves Cersei's eyes, Jamie hugs her just as the wildfire erupts in a destructive inferno that ultimately will consume the Red Keep. Brienne is away enough to escape and live. Due to the heroism of the duo, only the Red Keep is destroyed in Cersei's last mad hours of her doomed and brief reign.
I think Jamie will die protecting one of the Stark kids (hopefully Bran), die in the arms of Brienne and Arya will take Jamie's face go to Kings Landing and kill Cersie.
Just five me Bronn&Jaime secret wedding already
I didn't say us tho I said 'me'
It's great watching this after Season 7 is complete. I think any reckoning between the Lady of Winterfell and Jaime Lannister will have to come after the great war. I like this theory that Brienne would refuse, and then herself become a traitor to House Stark. As for the romance, I'm still not sure Jaime feels the same was she does. To me, his longing is toward the knight he has never been, she is everything he is not. She stirs his heart with longing for honor.
One of the first things Brienne says when she met Jaime was "who would die for a Lannister" That phrase stuck with me. I think that she will (at some point). Sorry for my grammar English isn't my first language.
Have you seen the leaked episode (6) yet? If so, this could be their story…. I agree, dying in the arms of the woman he loves means Brienne, and it's her alone that could compel him to kill Cersei if it means protecting Brienne's life. Cersei or the Mountain just may try to kill Brienne….soon. The set up may be in motion!
Jaime defends himself with widow's wail, both swords break, the Oathkeeper was literally broken and Brienne stops fighting….breaking her oath as well.
In the distance D&D are jerking off to how poetic writers they are.
"In the arms of the women I love"
that is clearly meant for Cersei and even though he might actually love Brienne, I don't think he would want it with her!
You should do a Kevan Lannister book version video, and include his epic dialogue with Cersei where he tells her she's as unfit a ruler as she is a mother. I loved that part
What I hate is when i first watched the ep with the brienne and cersei conversation, brienne said "like a brother, your grace" and now it seems like its a deleted part or something. Am I going crazy here? I remember laughing with my friends about how badass it was at the time!
Jaime, "I want to die in the arms of the woman I love". Jaime is going to die in Brienne's arms while they are both fighting the army of the dead. Jaime will go North to fight with the Starks to protect the Stark girls and the son of Rhaegar Targaryen to make up for not protecting his other two children Rhaenys and Aegon.
In the books Jaime is fighting with Brienne and they both have flaming swords. Cersei tells him when the flame goes out he dies. The flame on his sword goes out.
I like how there love is so obvious to people like Bronn and Cercei, who have not seen them a loot togeather while them selfe are blind as newborn to it
I would say, that even if he do not know it himselfe at that time Jaime is clearly in love with Brienne at the time he gave her the sword, just look at him how he follows her as she rides of and the look on his face
The perfect answer to Cerceis "You love him don't you" would have been: "Just as a sister loves her brother"!
You skiped the important part of the bathing scene, it was not about him appologising to her but telling her and only her, not Cercei, what moved him to kill the mad king and also how he correkted her when she shouts kingslayer, into Jaime, at least she should not see him as that but as the person he is
IDK man, sorta disagree with this one. I feel like we're over thinking this and their relationship i purely platonic.
I mean, I know this girl and we're pretty close. I know i wouldn't beat the shit out of her and her family but that doesn't mean that I love her. We just have mutual respect for each other.
I have never shipped anyone else in all the history of shipping as much as I ship Jaime and Brienne. <3 <3 <3
Yeah I agree with what people are saying below, that Sansa doesn't hate all Lannisters unilaterally. She certainly wouldn't kill Tyrion so I'm sure she'd listen to Brienne's defense of Jaime.
1) Brienne will be ordered to kill Jamie by the one of the Stark children to whom she swore to serve and protect.
2) She will do it with the sword he gave her, the Oathkeeper vs. the Kingslayer.
3) Jamie will die in the arms of the woman he loved, Brienne, like how he said he wanted to when asked by Bronn.
4) Arya will take Jamie's face and kill Cersei while wearing it, thus fulfilling the rest of the prophecy which stated that Cersei's 3 kids would die and that she would die at the hands of the Valonqar, which means little brother.
Holy shit the last thing Jamie said
Funny how the first goodbye, Jaime couldn't say it;
the second, Brienne couldn't say it;
the third and fourth time, neither say it….
neither say it;
Jaime being named "Kingslayer" is a foreshadowing of what will happen in the future, not just what he did in the past. I believe Euron Greyjoy will marry Cersei and become King of Westeros… This will drive Jaime away from Cersei and he will eventually kill Euron and die in the process, in the arms of Brienne. Brienne will avenge his death by killing the Mountain and she will also die.
What about Tourmond having the hots for Brienne? There's also an exchange in the tent between Jamie and Brienne where she tried to give Oathkeeper back to him and he refuses it by saying "it's yours, it will always be yours." I've rewatched it and I read the exchange about the sword as a metaphor for his heart, based on the look on his face when he says it he's not really talking about the sword. Then with their final goodbye, he looks around to make sure no one is watching first, then when he waves to her you can almost feel the heartache between them. I think Jamie is going to be very conflicted in season seven because he was shooting Cersci some serious stink eye when she was being crowned. There's also a cute little bit you didn't mention, it was when Jamie and Bronn were sailing to Dorne and he asks about a landmass and is told it's Tarth. They play the soft Jamie & Brienne cello music and you can almost feel him thinking about her. He may have foreshadowed his own death in the immediate scene after when Bronn asks him how he wants to die. "In the arms of the woman I love." That could very well happen if he and Brienne are forced to fight one another or if like you said she's ordered to kill him.
I think Brienne is doomed to unrequited love. I do think if anything happens to have Jaime kill Cersei it would happen over Brienne and no one else…not even Tyrion. Which leads me to wonder how Brienne would wind up in Cersei's clutches.
Aside from being an enemy officer, the only transgressions I can think of that Jaime committed against the Starks were Bran's crippling and Jaime's man spearing Ned in the leg. If Sansa orders retribution, the fitting punishment would be turning Jaime into a double/triple amputee…. but, that's not going to happen, of course.
Brianne isn't more honourable than ned
I wouldn't mind if Jamie doesn't love Brienne the way he loves Cersei, but I would like them to love each other in a sense, even if it is romantic
ugh 🙁
I think Jaime already had feelings for Browne at awkward goodbye number two, when he watches her ride away like that, but they aren't as substantial as his love for Cersei yet. When he and Brienne meet at Riverrun however is when his feelings for her are solidified and strengthened. He may even find out about those feelings for real at that moment he watches her drift away that night. And when he returns then and finds Cersei as murderer of all those people he might shift to Brienne's side for good – unconsciously at first, until he comes to the point of fulfilling the valonqar prophecy
Jaime will die, the last trailer of the Season 7 confirmes it. A last charge to Drogon or the Dothraki army. I think.
Cant wait to see this oversized cunt dies
I think you forgot when Jaime was on the ship heading to Dorn, he saw an island and when told it was Tarth, he just stood there in awe and kind of smiled…
Seriously almost every conflict in westeros started because some romance. Cersei and Jaime, Rhaegar and lyanna, and also dont forget about Robb and Talisa. If they can keep their pants maybe just maybe they could all live
It could indeed be interesting if the story leads to Brienne break her oath
