I'm sensing a bit of foreshadowing here, Jaime and Cersei were born with Jaime's hand holding on to her leg, so when his hand is cut off he loses that tie to her, all that's left now are their children, Geoff, Tommen and Myrcella, Geoff is murdered, and I'm sure at some point Tommen and Myrcella willbe too, not counting that ghastly performance by the Sand Snakes in the show, I mean in the book. So once the hand is gone and the children, what's left? Their blood? We all know that means sod all in Westeros, so all these things combined will cut all ties off from Jaime and Cersei, and he can fulfil his role as Valonqar and strangle Cersei to death

The best part for me with this scene is Noah Taylor's (Locke) epic acting. He really speaks with the hatred in his voice, you can tell he really hates Jaimie. Here, this should help you remember!

What would have made this better is while he is screaming about his right hand being chopped off chop off the left one.

I first thought, Jaime was going to be one-eyed, just like the Governor (TWD fan-moment). In some ways he deserved most crap that has happened to him for his actions: he screwed his own sister, pushed off Bran and fought Ned in the streets of King's Landing. But getting his hand cut was too much and I even felt a little sorry for him. Poor Jaime.
