- Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s reaction to the Game of Thrones finale is a complete 180 from his costars.
- It’s officially time to panic.
It’s T-minus 32 days until Game of Thrones has everyone scrambling for their ex-boyfriend’s friend’s mom’s HBO Go account, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau aka Jaime Lannister’s reaction to the finale will make you feel all kinds of unwell until the very end.
While chatting with Men’s Health about fitness and whatnot, he got down to business and shared exactly what he thinks about the show’s last season. First off, Nikolaj said the final day on-set was emotional and the after-party was “fun,” which is already a much different reaction from Emilia Clarke’s wandering about for hours and “loads of tears.”
He also added that “the last season was so intense,” which makes total sense considering the battle for Winterfell took nearly two whole months to film. He said, “I think I got some dust in my eye.” LOL. Sure, dude. Then he tried to joke that Jaime’s arm grows back before describing the finale of the show that defined the last 10 years of the cast’s lives as “fantastic.”
Really, it’s hard to tell what exactly he means by saying the finale is that great. Like, what specifically, Nikolaj? Isn’t everyone supposed to die? Although, if the theory of Daenerys Targaryen being Azor Ahai and having everyone on her side being reborn when she saves them all turns out to be true, then yeah, that’s pretty freaking fantastic.
GOT premieres on April 14, so stock up on the tissues and wine now.
