  1. Why so serious,this is just a popcorn movie who based on comic book to entertain people.the director just following the comic book storyline,nothing wrong about that.if people wanted to watch serious movie,there is plenty of great drama out there.

  12. I agree with Cameron. I'd say Rippley is the best strong woman to grace Hollywood. There's​ nothing groundbreaking about the new wonder woman movie. If you look at it objectively this film is worse than many super hero movies with male leads. So basically while praising ww you are just saying that women are capable of doing subpar stuffs.

  15. Roth's take on Cameron's comments were smart, well thought out, and weren't just making fun of "idot" men, but explaining why WW is an important moment for women in blockbuster filmmaking.

    I get the impulse to clown Cameron (he's kind of wrong here), but Roth's inclination to educate or make clear why WW matters does far more for those who don't understand than just making fun of those who do.

    You probably won't see this, but THANK YOU Roth for your well thought out statement. We need voices like yours.

  21. I love how the woman on the show is less judgmental than the guys from what Cameron said. But I think Cameron like many other people do not like super-heroes in general and how they are portrayed as too perfect. You had John McTiernan saying he was disgused by someone like Captain America existing.

  22. He isn't critquing WW. He is pointing out it's praise is ununderstandable in a world where we have complex actual mold-breaking female chracters. Dan talks about box office, Cameron wasn't talking about that. It's not about the character as she exists in comic books but the complimentss the film's representation is getting payed like is revolutionary.

    Just seriously consider how many times do we hear a new film or something has broken new ground when really it hasn't? Every other film it feels like new ground is being broken. Cameron's comments are crazy he is just giving his view which if it wasn't aimed at a beloved and female superhero film would have been accepted.

    Maybe in the superhero genre it's something new but even then only for females. Cameron's commments are actually true when you take them in that context. Seriously what about WW the character as she is presented in this film is so completely groundbreaking compared to how groundbreaking sarah connor or ripley were back in then day? Ask yourself was there an Ellen Ripley type before Alien? Then ask yourself was there a WW type before WW? Then you have your answer.

    He isn't angry about her success more the take away which is a product of short term memory.

  26. Seems to me that Cameron is joining the Trump bandwagon by yelling a lot of crazy stuff, diverting our attention or gaining attention for his upcoming terminator debacle. James Cameron should just go sit down in the corner contemplate his sins. I’m sure there are many.

  29. Sju haven't mentioned one groundbreaking from the Wonder Woman movie. They only mentioned how much money it made. James Cameron was talking about what was in the movie. Cameron is 2 for 2 but they are the highest grossing of all time.

  31. Did he really "revitalize" Aliens?? Or did it die immediately die? How many of u love every alien movie? 🤔 and I also could care less about avatar. Especially now that there's kids. Didn't care much to start and now I'm over it.
