Last month, Game of Thrones veteran Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) and actor Lisa Bonet announced that they were getting divorced after five years of marriage. “We free each other to be who we are learning to become,” they wrote on Instagram.
That’s a shame. But maybe not? According to Hollywood Life, the pair are giving it another shot, deciding to try and work out their issues rather than throwing in the towel. Momoa has reportedly already moved back into the house, with their children — 14-year-old Lola and 13-year-old Nakoa-Wolf — being “obviously thrilled.”
So that’s a nice bit of happy news to start off the week. And in other Game of Thrones celebrity news…
Charles Dance to play another villainous father in Washington Black
Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister) has a new gig. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he’s joining the cast of Hulu’s limited series Washington Black, based on the best-selling novel by Esi Edugyan.
Washington Black is about a young boy (Ernest Kingsley Jr.) who lives on a sugar plantation in Barbados run by Dance’s character James Wilde. Washington Black flees after a shocking death threatens to upend his life.
It sounds like James Wilde will be the antagonist of the piece, a representative of a rigid social order who also has some serious failings as a father. Anyone who watched Dance on Game of Thrones knows he can hit this role out of the park.
Finally, Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) is promoting Hangmen, a new play from In Bruges writer-director Martin McDonagh, which opens April 8 at the Golden Theater:
Broadway is back and it’s bringing Theon with it!
