Game of Thrones has been a solid show because of one great quality: it’s not black and white. Every character in the show is painted in a shade of grey. This is to say that they all have their good and bad. Whether we love or hate them is up to us. Speaking of grey, Jacob Anderson, who plays the role of Grey Worm on the show, recently hinted that we’ll be seeing more of this moral grey area in the final season of the show. Read on!
INSIDER asked Anderson how fans will feel about Grey Worm at the end of the show, and he gave an answer that hinted at some tough testing coming at all our loved heroes:
“Oh, that’s a very difficult question to answer.
Grey Worm goes on a journey this year. He’s in unknown territory, and I think people are going to feel very conflicted about every character in this season. And Grey Worm is no exception. That’s what I’ll say.”
He then talked about what it was like to film the gigantic Battle of Winterfell sequence:
“The whole [experience] of this season has been super bittersweet. It’s been amazing, but it’s also been slightly miserable. There were moments when you’re freezing cold, you’ve got this weird chemical fake snow in your face, and there’s real snow, and you’re wearing armor and trying to fight in all this s—– weather, but then occasionally you look around and you’re like ‘Look how amazing this is.’”
He continued:
“There was one point where I honestly couldn’t see any technical equipment and I was like, ‘I’m just here. This is real.’ It was completely immersive – the full set with mist and snow and all these extras fighting and running past. You couldn’t see any of the crew, so you just felt like you were really in ‘Game of Thrones.’”
He also revealed that he was yet to get around and take a proper look at his wrap gift: framed storyboard of a key scene for his character.
