Jason Momoa playing Frosty The Snowman is actually happening

Jason Momoa of Game of Thrones fame is playing none other than Frosty The Snowman in an upcoming live-action.

Because why not?

The star rose to fame after playing Khal Drogo in the immensely popular Game of Thrones (GoT) series, but now he’s moving onto new challenges as he will star as Frosty The Snowman in a hybrid CG/live-action that he will also produce, according to Deadline.

Due to the current coronavirus lockdown, there’s no official release date for the movie yet, although we wonder if we’ll witness Jason as Frosty come Christmas, given the topic.

At least we know we get to see Jason as a snowman at some point in the future. That’s enough for us.

Greg Silverman, who is also producing the film, explained why Jason will make a great Frosty.

‘We know Jason as a true human being filled with love, compassion and a deep connection to ohana – all of which is the living spirit of Xmas and Frosty,’ he said.

As well as starring alongside Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen in GoT, Jason landed a role in Aquaman in 2018 and will be gearing up for the sequel in 2022.

You may have also seen him in the Apple TV+ series See.

And he’s set to reunite with Peter Dinklage, who played Tyrion Lannister in GoT, for an upcoming action horror film called Good, Bad & Undead.

At least if horror’s not your thing you can look forward to seeing Jason as a big, friendly snowman.
