Jason Momoa seems genuinely attached to his Aquaman trident, as he made sure he took it along with him when heading out to the beach.
As you do.
But it seems the prop came in handy, as the star found himself at a strangers’ wedding and couldn’t help but photobomb their official snaps.
Even though he was dressed in striped shorts and a green vest, the 39-year-old got into character as he whipped out his Aquaman trident and playfully prodded the newlyweds.
Barely questioning the strange occurrence, the loved up couple could be seen gazing into each other’s eyes, while Momoa splashed around in the sea behind them.
Laughing at the actor, both the bride and groom were unable to keep a straight face as he frolicked around on the Hawaiian beach.
This isn’t the first time Jason has been seen out and about with his trident, as he appeared on This Morning with the prop hidden behind the sofa.
Whether or not he’d planned on showing it off, Phillip Schofield addressed the weapon with Jason calling the movie prop ‘glorious.’
He then told the presenter that he can ‘command the ocean’ with the piece of plastic… We sure hope he’d joking.
But, despite Jason’s apparent love for the trident, he seemed to have been able to part with it for an hour or so during his appearance on The Graham Norton Show.
Here, the Khal Drogo star spoke about how he likes to joke around with his fans when they ask him for a picture.
He said: ‘Well a married couple comes up, and they want to take a picture, and generally it’s the woman who wants a hug – and they ask me to push the husband away.’
The star laughed: ‘Or like, kick them in the face. But I do it – sometimes it’s the man, you know, it’s…’
Before he could finish his sentence Graham interrupted and showed the audience a couple of examples where Jason is not only pushing away the husband, but has also signed the picture over their face.
A-maz-ing.
Jason’s new superhero movie appears to have gone down a treat with fans, making around $150million (£119m) at the box office.
But, as much fun as the actor had while playing Aquaman, he recently revealed that he wants to show more of his soft, playful, silly side.
‘I don’t normally get to do “silly” things. I’m normally hired to play that guy – the barbarian, the brute,’ he told Shortlist.
‘After Game Of Thrones, no one was thinking I’d be perfect for a rom-com.
‘I want people to see me be funny, and romantic, not just some big lug. It would be nice to play a doctor or a lawyer. But the truth of it is, they’ve got someone to play those roles.
‘If I have to play a brute, how about a soft brute or one with a heart of gold? If I got offered that then fuck it, it’s on.’
