Emilia Clarke revealed herself to be Jennifer Lopez’s biggest fan at the Emmys 2019 after channelling the popstar’s look on the red carpet.
And the Game of Thrones actress’ admiration for Jenny from the Block didn’t stop there as she couldn’t help but fawn over Jennifer’s performance in her new movie Hustlers.
It all began when Emilia, 32, shared a photo of her flawless make-up and sleek hairdo before hitting the Emmy Awards red carpet on Sunday evening.
The British actress revealed that her whole look was inspired by Jennifer and tagged the Love Don’t Cost A Thing singer in the post directly.
Once on the red carpet, Emilia just had to chat about her idol and praise her performance as stripper Ramona in the critically-acclaimed comedy drama Hustlers.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Emilia said: ‘I think that JLo in Hustlers is the greatest introduction of a character I have ever seen, I heckled in the cinema.’
She added jokingly: ‘I’m English, I don’t do that but I did.
‘So JLo is my inspiration for this evening, I plan on channelling her all night long.’
Jennifer, 50, was completely flattered by Emilia’s homage and shared a clip of her interview on Instagram with the caption: ‘When the Mother of Dragons meets #Ramona. #dead#HustlersMovie I love u @emilia_clarke #daenerys.’
Jennifer has made no secret of her love for Game of Thrones so the feeling of respect is definitely mutual.
It seems channelling JLo worked like a charm for Emilia as GoT won big at this year’s Emmys.
The hit HBO series scooped the best drama for the fourth time, although it was a bittersweet win as it was of course the show’s final season.
Emilia isn’t the only one with praise for JLo in Hustlers, as the actress is hotly-tipped to earn award nominations next year with fans and critics alike raving about her performance as Ramona.
Hustlers is out in cinemas now.
