  1. Mark Reilly is one of the biggest horror fans on the Collider staff along with Perri, that's why he was doing the review. You don't have to be a fan of a franchise to review one of its movies.

  2. This is the first time I have ever been disappointed with perris and rileys reviews. This was the best saw movie since the original! Good twist, good traps, they could have escaped if they really thought about what jigsaw was saying.. overall I give it a 6/10 again best saw movie since the original

  3. Watch stuckmanns review. He basically said if you like this franchise, this one is decent. About middle of the pack, better than parts 4,5,7 for sure.

I’m excited to go watch it. I have loved the saw movies for the story, the torture porn isn’t even that bad in these movies especially when you compare to crazy shit like hostel and human centipede.

Plus this was something you looked forward to every Halloween as opposed to the shitty paranormal activity films

  4. I like this franchise and thought this movie was decent . Not any better then 1-3 . But ok. But a 3 out of 10 is crazy . A 2 is ridiculous. What does "the room" and jaws 4 get? This movie was watchable and at least interesting. Score and gore alone . I can see a 5 at least.

  5. If you like saw: You'll like Jigsaw,
If you don't like saw: You won't like Jigsaw.
There is saw people and there isn't saw people, by now you should know which one you are. (And if you don't know, give one of them a try to see, I didn't think i would like them and now they are some of my favorite horror movies of all time)

  6. Loved this movie. If you aren’t deep into this franchise it wont have the same effect. Yes, acting wasn’t great and the traps were “boring “ but boy when we get to that point your mind just explodes.

  7. I respect your opinions and criticisms but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised on the direction this film took and there are some major twists and turns and revelations and I really like it and while the traps are not amazing but honestly I can tell they where not suppose to be, this film was designed to provide one final piece of backstory to Jigsaw before going in a new direction and I have to give the film major respect for that!

  8. No saw has above a 49% on Rotten tomatoes. As having just seen it myself, if you enjoy the franchise you will enjoy this movie. if you don't like the saw movies, then you will not. It's that simple

  9. I really like the new format you guys put with this review to help us follow what you both were looking for in this movie! Great addition! Bummed to hear this movie disappointed many—the first Saw is one of my favorite films of all time.
