You CAN'T make a Pennywise origin story… "IT" which sometimes calls itself Pennywise the Dancing Clown, is basically a Cthulhu class being. IT is an eldritch terror from a higher dimensional plane, older than the universe itself. If you even look at IT's true form (look through the 'deadlights') with a human mind you'll find your sanity splattered all over the carpet.
