I think just like the moment we learned about the valyrian steel weakness, there will be a moment when Jon seems to have the upper hand on the night king and we think Jon's going to kill him, but as Jon strikes we find that the night king doesn't have the weaknesses of the other white walkers. That's when the show really seems to be at its most dire since there would be no see able end to the night, and only when they make us feel for the state of the world being (almost) over that's when the true hero shows up. and Its someone that's been there the whole time but we just haven't payed attention. Is it Jorah, Jamie, maybe even no one and the world is doomed. I just want it to not be predictable is all.

I really think this is what will happen in series 8. Jon Snow, 12 companions, 2 wolves and a horse . All companions will die driving back the white walkers.

What if Bran travels back in time with Jon and there Eddard Stark will talk to Jon about his mother. So that Eddard Starks promise will be redeemed.

I thought in the books the ravens were originally basically wargs who fully resided inside the birds ( in olden times). So basically they could relay full audible messages. Now there aren't any ravens like that, but they still use ravens to send messages on paper.

So what if Mormont's raven was one of these wargs permanently inside. It's like a human. So that's why it seems to have a mind of its own.

They should have had the Raven in the show.

Or the Raven is Ned Stark who Warged into the raven flying overhead just before he was executed.
