This just shows how too ambitious Ramsey was. Freakin killed his whole family because he wanted to be the soul ruler of Winterfell and the North which ultimately ended the Bolton family line and every time he shot an arrow at Jon, he went for a killing shot, making it easier to block.

I think that Ramsey's death was simply more rewarding than Joffrey's. Much more visceral. Nothing quite so rewarding as repeatedly beating someone's face in until your fists hurt … then having them torn to bits by hungry dogs … yeah, that's a proper end for a villain this nasty. Poison is a women's weapon. This is so much more satisfying.
