After waiting in the darkness for over a year, we’re now getting more new Game of Thrones images than we can handle, this time courtesy of Spanish-language website XL Semanal and Moviestar+. These are spoiler-free, so enjoy!
Let’s start with the rather dashing looking Iain Glen as Ser Jorah Mormont, who’s striking a pose in the winter town right outside Winterfell.
This looks like it’s from the very early part of the season, when Daenerys and her entourage arrive at the Stark home base. You can see them heading up the path in the season 8 trailer. We’ve visited the winter town briefly before — remember when Brienne and Podrick stayed there in season 5? — but it looks like season 8 is the town’s time to shine.
And now the moment you’ve been waiting for: Kit Harington as Jon Snow, riding a horse.
We’re guessing this also takes place at the top of the season, when Jon and new boo Daenerys Targaryen arrive in Winterfell. Looks like Jon is brooding over something. Some things never change.
The next two shots are from behind the scenes. First up, we have Lena Headey looking fierce as hell while getting a touch up from hair designer Kevin Alexander. Note the Mountain (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson) lurking in the background. Love it.
And back to Winterfell, we’ve got Emilia Clarke receiving some mid-scene notes from director David Nutter. Quick, can anyone make out what that script says? Also, I though they weren’t using scripts. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau lied to us!
