What fun and interesting things happened in the wonderful world of Game of Thrones-related news? As filming for season 8 winds down, many of the cast and crew are beginning to speak out and some getting tattoos to memorialize their time on the show. Filming does return briefly to some familiar places, and we learn all about the prequel series set in the Age of Heroes. Let’s get started.

Actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will share scenes with this surprising character in season 8. Beware spoilers.

Game of Thrones is known for having some pretty gosh-darn awful dads. We take a look at the 10 worst for Father’s Day.

Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) is still in Belfast near Titanic Studios. Hmm, I wonder what she could be doing there?

Author George R.R. Martin gives us some more details about the Game of Thrones prequel series, the Age of Heroes and what we should reasonably expect.

Speaking of the Age of Heroes, here are some of the most notable heroes from that age.

The Red Keep at the King’s Landing set on the Titanic Studios lot gets a paint job and we’re very perplexed as to its new color. Speculation ahoy!

Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) got a new tattoo to memorialize her time on Game of Thrones, and we think it’s pretty fracking cool.

Season 8 filming returns to Cushendun Caves. Don’t worry, we don’t think any shadow babies were seen exiting Melisandre’s body during the process. Excuse us as we try and bleach our brain from that mental picture.

Filming also returned to Magheramorne Quarry, the site of Castle Black, Hardhome, and the 55+ nights of filming for season 8. Just when you think you’re out, they pull ya back in.

Finally, check out our recap of Westworld episode 208, “Kiksuya,” as we think it was the best episode of the series to date.
