Director Colin Trevorrow returns to the Jurassic World franchise to make the third film in what looks to be on its way to becoming one of the most successful series in history — really, both the first Jurassic World movie and its sequel, Fallen Kingdom, are among the top 15 highest-grossing movies of all time — surely Universal wants to keep that roll going.
And what’s the one thing the movie needs to ensure success? A good subtitle! The other day, Trevorrow took to Twitter to reveal it:
Jurassic World: Dominion. Box office domination guaranteed.
But seriously, it’s a pretty good subtitle: strong, forceful, maybe even a bit aggressive. Also, not the snow in the background. Is it time for the raptors and pterodactyls and such to fight in the arctic? Could they? Wasn’t a prolonged ice age part of the reason dinosaurs died out?
Clearly I’m overthinking this. Moving on, plenty of cast members from the original two films are coming back, including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Omar Sy, Jake Johnson, Justice Smith and Daniella Pineda, as well as recent additions like DeWanda Wise, Dichen Lachman and Scott Haze. Perhaps more notable, the three main cast members from the original Jurassic Park are also returning: Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill. And they thought they were done speeding away from T-Rexes in jeeps.
Jurassic World: Dominion comes out on June 11, 2021.
