Key & Peele – “Gremlins 2” Brainstorm – Uncensored

Nice stuff and love Key and Peele, but the apparent basis that is that Gremlins 2 is bad is simply flawed. Gremlins 1 is a horror movie. Gremlins 2 is a farce. Both fantastic examples.

Uh, if have to go more—Gremlins 1 is about Phoebe Cates' psychological pain of her dad dying from trying to surprise her from a chimney. That happened. So did Gizmo fucking up as usual so bursting water products of evil Gremlins. Gremlins 1 is a horror in the attic via Gizmo being an idiot so not taking any protections against being watered on…and then gremlins in the bar and house and warehouse, but in the end survive.

Gremlins 2 is very different. Pretty much akin to the movie "Crash" being anywhere similar to the movie "Crash". Yes, Zach Galligan and Phoebe Cates still starred, and Gizmo too, but this was about commercialism and capitalism and venture capitalists. Attempt to make profit on a literal water bubble. Not expecting that hey, some products might be smart enough to try to oppose being assigned to a human/gremlin battery. Genius gremlin should have won freedom for his species.

But Phoebe Cates…I'm going to happily sigh and imagine until my atoms are in our black hole.
