  1. Why no mention of Jaime killing his own cousin. A first cousin. Just to escape his cage & only to be captured again. No mention of this!? He even mentioned cousin killing to Tyrion moments before his trial by combat.

  2. The White Book gets burnt along with Cersei and Jamie, but they make a Gold Book for the less venerable but ultimately exculpated heroes of the new kingdom. …may be overly cliche for Martin.

  3. About almost every character represents an iconic troupe in fiction. The main characters in the story are fitted with different hero journeys, with Jon's being the classic as well to Danys. I think GRRM wanted to fit an anti-hero story and I think he does this with Jamie Lannister- a character who fits every sense of the anti-hero tale: believed in good but then was easily morally corrupted only to regain a more cynical way of what makes a good outcome, with the probability of self sacrifice as the character has "nothing left to lose".
