Kit Harington destined to die in next project after Game of Thrones survival (Picture: HBO)

Kit Harington needs to watch his back in his next role as, if stats are anything to go by, the star is destined to be killed off.

Despite dying in Game of Thrones, the 33-year-old’s character Jon Snow rose from the dead and managed to make it out of the fantasy epic alive and unscathed.

But it seems as though it’s bad news for his upcoming Marvel project, Eternals, as according to Buzz Bingo he’s got a 62.5% chance of death.

We’re wishing you well, Dane Whitman!

Yes, the site has predicted that Kit’s onscreen luck is running out – and will soon meet his demise, along with True Detective star Mahershala Ali who also has a 50% chance of death.

They’re joined by Sin City’s Mickey Rourke who is currently at 47.7% (chance of death – if that’s not clear already), while Dave Bautista stands at 47.6%.

Gary Oldman, who has a number of projects in the pipeline, was on the list at 42.9%, next to Kit’s fellow GoT star Sean Bean, at 42.3%.

But even though he led the way with actors destined to die onscreen, it seems the Jon Snow star is hot property after landing himself a Golden Globe nomination.

Although he was pipped to the post by Succession’s Brian Cox, Kit was the only GoT actor to land a nod at the prestigious event.

He told The Hollywood Reporter he ‘didn’t expect to be nominated’ for the award.

‘I thought the show might be, but I was just at home, learning lines, and then my publicists called,’ he explained: ‘It was very unexpected and wonderful.’

Kit added that he was ‘sad’ no one else from the show got a nod, saying: ‘Obviously I wanted everyone to be nominated, and I feel like they should, as anyone who loves their show and loves their cast and crew would feel and want.

‘I’m happy for my nomination… So I’ll represent the show on my own. I’ll do my best.’

But it turned out he missed his co-stars on the night, as he told E! Online: ‘I haven’t got my gang. It’s odd, I haven’t been to these sorts of things without the rest of them around, so I’m a little jealous of the Succession guys.’

Game Of Thrones is available now on DVD and Blu-Ray, and available to stream on NOW TV.
