Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke set to present at this year’s Golden Globes

Game of Thrones is one of the most popular shows, as well as one of the biggest shows on the planet right now. It has done very well with the public, and with the critics, winning several awards. However, it hasn’t really had any luck at the Golden Globes. This year however, we will be seeing Game of Thrones stars Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) at the Golden Globes this year, as they’ve just been announced to be among the presenters. Read on!

Now, we know that Game of Thrones hasn’t really done well at the Golden Globes before. The show has just one Globe, and it was given to Peter Dinklage for his portrayal of Tyrion Lannister, way back in Season 1. The show hasn’t had any luck with the Globes since then. This year the considerations were even streamlined to avoid clashes and get a higher chance of winning, but Game of Thrones didn’t end up getting a nomination this year, either.

Like we had reported, Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke were submitted for best actor and actress respectively, but they didn’t make it through. However it was just announced that they will be at the awards as presenters, through a tweet from the Twitter account of the Golden Globes :

Now we would have loved to see these two win, or at least be nominated, but this is the next best thing. We expect at least one joke about epic boatsex when these two are presenting, so we suggest you watch the show. Although there are chances of a more elaborate sketch, considering Seth Meyers will be hosting, and he is known for his love of Game of Thrones, and sketches about it.
