As we draw nearer to the imminently epic conclusion of Game of Thrones, the tension is palpable, the anticipation is rising – and Kit Harington is feeling the pressure.
And so he should!
As they say, the heat is on, as Kit reveals he’s worried people may be let down by the end result.
Which isn’t telling at all.
The actor, who plays broody and bastardly Jon Snow in the HBO fantasy moneymaker, has had one heck of a season after hooking up with his aunt, Daenerys Targaryen, while the audience gloriously discovered he was the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen.
And with one heck of a final season ahead of him, the 30-year-old opened up to Deadline saying ‘There’s a certain pressure’ he’s not felt before.
He added: ‘Whereas before, every year there’s always been a bit of pressure, this season is one where we could easily let people down.
‘Obviously, we don’t want to do that so we’re very much stepping up everyone’s game which is very apparent, at least to me.’
He also said the attention to the characters is not ‘more apparent’ as the cast grows up – remember, they’ve been at this for nearly seven years now – while ‘exploring every inch’ of the storylines, based on the works of George R. R. Martin.
Don’t get too tingly, though, as we’ve got quite a wait until we find out what he’s on about, as season eight isn’t hitting screens until 2019.
So keep calm and start prophesising.
