Kit Harington responded to rumours that the Games Of Thrones cast are having a wrap party at Glastonbury 2019, during an interview on KISS Breakfast last week. The actor, who has played Jon Snow since 2011, was asked about the supposed plan but admitted he was none the wiser. Speaking to hosts Tom and Daisy, the 32-year-old said he was going to call Maisie Williams straight after the broadcast to talk about the issue. The chat, to coincide with the promotional tour of How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, also saw him reveal he had told his wife Rose Leslie the ending to season eight.
On the Glasto rumours, he light-heartedly replied: “She’s [Maisie] just made that up!”
Kit continued: “Well, maybe I haven’t been invited, maybe everyone’s going to Glastonbury but me, this is the first I’ve heard of it.
“I’ll be calling her after this and saying, ‘What’s that about then, Glastonbury wrap party? Yeah, where’s my invite?’”
Explaining some of the cast had been to the festival before, he said: “We did Glastonbury a couple of years ago, which was brilliant.
“It was a weird Thrones, sort of, reunion. There I was with Emilia [Clarke], Richard Madden, who else? Alfie [Allen] was there, there was a whole load of us.”
Kit also said he told Rose, who he wed last year, how Game Of Thrones comes to end and said it was “weird” trying to answer if he was “happy” with it.
He stated: “I can’t really answer whether I’m happy or not. I don’t think it’s about happy or sad really.
“I’m satisfied with what they did, but I don’t know whether I’ll be really satisfied until I see it.”
Although Rose’s reaction was a strange one: “I told my wife last year how it ended, and she wouldn’t talk to me for about three days. And she’d asked!”
Meanwhile, it comes after Kit spilled all on their season eight celebrations and revealed how they have said goodbye to the series with a number of parties.
Appearing on BBC Radio 6 Music last week, the British actor was quizzed on whether an all-cast party will go ahead to say goodbye to Game of Thrones.
Kit admitted they’ve already had “so many” bashes in many different places.
He added: “We’ve had so many, we had a few in every location we filmed in.
“We would have this party to finish that location.”
Kit said the Game of Thrones crew and cast all got on so well and they have to “celebrate that”.
Game of Thrones season 8 will return to HBO and Sky Atlantic on April 14. Seasons 1-7 are currently streaming on NOW TV.
