Kit Harington hasn’t even told his wife and former co-star Rose Leslie how Game of Thrones ends.
HBO’s hit medieval fantasy drama will come to a close next year as the eighth and final series airs in January.
The cast have all remained tight-lipped over what fans can expect, and Kit, who is gearing up for his character Jon Snow’s last outing, has revealed keeping shtum even extends to his wife.
‘I chose not to tell [Rose],’ the 31-year-old revealed in an interview with Esquire Townhouse.
‘For this, I was like, “I’m not telling anyone.” I don’t think she’s guessed it right yet.’
The couple married in June this year following Rose’s stint as Jon Snow’s love interest, Ygritte, from 2012 to 2014.
Considering her inside knowledge, concealing the news from Rose, 31, could be a hard task, but Kit admits he’s revelling in the secrecy.
‘[I like] walking around knowing no one knows,’ he grinned.
During the chat, the actor also opened up about the blockbuster series coming to an end and insisted, despite the wave of disappointment from fans, it ‘ended at the right time’.
‘I have no desire to go back and do any more of that show,’ he explained. ‘I have such a fond place I my heart for that show. For a good month afterwards I just burst into tears randomly. I can’t think of a better job to have in your 20’s than to play Jon Snow.’
