Kit Harington – the actor who has played Jon Snow in Game of Thrones since the first season is an avid actor and theatre artist. Before, getting a role in the series Harington played ‘Albert’ in the stage play ‘War Horse’. And apart from these, he has also appeared in famous movies like ‘Brimstone’ and the TV series ‘Gunpowder’.
The actor recently talked to the Entertainment Weekly where he talked about why he is still maintaining his Game of Thrones look and his life-long desire of starring in a Harry Potter franchise movie. He revealed:
“I always wanted to be in a Potter movie…I always wanted to be Harry Potter.”
Considering the fact that Harry Potter franchise started a long time ago and even before Harington would have stepped in for his acting career – it seems impossible for him to get a break for that part! Although, he can get a break for other J K Rowling’s fantasy movie series like Fantastic Beasts. Still, his career will definitely get a major kick after Game of Thrones.
In the same interview, Harington had also discussed the reason for maintaining his Jon Snow look from Game of Thrones. He had revealed:
“We just finished filming. You can’t tell because I look exactly the same. They own me; they’ve just kept me like this.”
Also, back in July 2017, Harington appeared in a funny audition reel for Game of Thrones on Jimmy Kimmel Live. There he auditioned for six different characters including Cersei Lannister, Arya Stark, Ygritte, Hodor, the Night King, and Daenerys Targaryen. Apart from these original characters from the show, Kit also auditioned for the role of ‘Harry Potter’.
The funny video ended with him answering back to the judges, “What if he was?” – who didn’t seem happy with Kit’s acting skills and the roles he had chosen. Watch the full video down below:
