Kit Harington says the Game Of Thrones cast were tired of filming (Picture: HBO)

Kit Harington said the Game Of Thrones cast had ‘had enough’ filming the show’s final season as the tough shoot left them physically and emotionally drained.

The show’s final season starts in April this year, and Kit, who plays Jon Snow, says everyone was ready to for it to come to an end.

Kit explained to GQ Australia: ‘We were sleep deprived. It was like it was designed to make you think, “Right, I’m fucking sick of this.”

‘I remember everyone walking around towards the end going, “I’ve had enough now. I love this, it’s been the best thing in my life, I’ll miss it one day – but I’m done.”’

He added that season eight ‘seemed to be designed to break us’.

‘I don’t know if we were crying because we were sad it was ending or if we were crying because it was so fucking tiring’.

Jon is set to discover the truth about Daenerys Targaryen, who is actually his aunt, which will make things difficult between them as they became lovers in the last season.

Kit previously told TV Insider: ‘Jon is someone who plays by the book. He cannot lie. Finding out about Dany would be very hard for him.’

And if that isn’t enough to split them up, recent research showed that Daenerys, played by Emilia Clarke, is least likely to survive to the end of the season as she has never ‘switched allegiances’.

According to those brainboxes at IFLScience, ‘sticking true to your convictions is a surefire way to get nixed’, which sounds like Dany to a T.

On the other hand Cersei Lannister is more likely to stay put on the Iron Throne as highborn ‘strong females’ who have no problem switching sides are #more likely to make it than their male counterparts’.

Game Of Thrones returns later this year
