Kit Harington says the Game Of Thrones cast are ‘done’ with the show after a gruelling shoot on the show’s final season.
The actor was left ‘broken’ shooting season eight, which he thinks might be down to how sad the last episodes are.
And if the people fully immersed in the world of Westeros struggled with the scenes, imagine how it’s going to be for the fans when we watch it.
Kit, who plays Jon Snow on Game Of Thrones, told GQ Australia: ‘The last season of Thrones seemed to be designed to break us. Everyone was broken at the end.
‘I don’t know if we were crying because we were sad it was ending or if we were crying because it was so fucking tiring.’
He went on: ‘We were sleep deprived. It was like it was designed to make you think, “Right, I’m fucking sick of this.”
‘I remember everyone walking around towards the end going, “I’ve had enough now. I love this, it’s been the best thing in my life, I’ll miss it one day – but I’m done.”‘
Kit met his now-wife Rose Leslie on the show as the pair shared scenes together with Rose playing wildling Ygritte.
The actor said if he and Leslie decide to have kids they would get their very own version of How I Met Your Mother as they could just watch the Game Of Thrones DVDs.
‘It dawned on me, recently, and I have no idea if we will, but say me and Rose do have children. They’ll know. They’ll be able to see the genesis of their parents getting together,’ he said.
The final series is going to see Jon and his current lover Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) hit by the bombshell that she’s actually his aunt and he’s next in line to the Iron Throne.
Jon is someone who plays by the book. He cannot lie,’ he told TV Insider.
‘Finding out about Dany would be very hard for him.’
Kit’s interview appears in GQ Australia’s February issue which goes on sale 14 January
Game Of Thrones returns in April.
