Fans have been wrestling with certain choices the characters make towards the end of Game of Thrones. Yet, most can agree it made sense for Snow to kill Daenerys. The actor himself agrees that his character was in the right when it comes to murdering his queen. Although that does not mean that it sits well with him.
“I think if you asked him, he would’ve felt he got off lightly,” said Harington during the QA session, according to Entertainment Weekly. “At the end of the show when we find him in that cell, he’s preparing to be beheaded and he wants to be. He’s done. The fact he goes to the Wall is the greatest gift and also the greatest curse.”

Jon returning to The Wall isn’t quite a return to home as much as it is revisiting trauma. The deaths of Ygritte and Olly are unquestionably going to haunt the once King in the North.
“He’s gotta go back up to the place with all this history and live out his life thinking about how he killed Dany, and live out his life thinking about Ygritte dying in his arms, and live out his life thinking about how he hung Olly and live out his life thinking about all of this trauma, and that’s interesting,” said Harington.
There is very little known yet about the spin-off series as neither HBO nor George R.R Martin have confirmed the creative leads of the show. Harington’s thoughts regarding John’s headspace indicate there are a lot of interesting ideas the spin-off can explore. Martin has only eluded to the Game of Thrones spin-off series being titled “Snow”.
