Kit Harington won’t tell fans what happens to Jon Snow in the final season of Game of Thrones, but had absolutely no problem telling Rose Leslie, his wife and former co-star. Leslie, who previously played the role of Ygritte in seasons 2-4 of the HBO series, had the fate of her husband’s character spoiled by Harington himself, and—no surprise here—wasn’t very happy about it. At least now she knows how Sophie Turner’s friends feel?
In an interview with KISS Breakfast’s Tom Green and Daisy Maskell on Friday, Harington confessed that he told Leslie last year about how the series ends. Her reaction: “She wouldn’t talk to me for about three days. And she’d asked!” Despite his wife’s visceral reaction to learning Jon Snow’s fate, Harington finds joy in having this top secret information.“It’s quite nice walking around, which will only happen for a few months before everyone’s seen it, knowing,” he added. “I know and no one else does. I know how it wraps up. I think it’s gonna be groundbreaking.”
Harington also took a moment in the interview to express his doubts on if he’s truly happy with the ending. “I don’t think it’s about happy or sad really,” he said. “I’m satisfied with what they did, but I don’t know whether I’ll be really satisfied until I see it.” Maisie Williams is on the same page, as far as fans’ satisfaction goes.
It looks like we’ll just have to see for ourselves exactly what happens to Jon Snow and the rest of the Game of Thrones characters when the series returns to HBO on April 14.
