Kit Harington is finished filming Game of Thrones (probably), but he still has a head full of Thrones knowledge, and he’s going to share it with attendees at the Esquire Townhouse in London on October 13 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. “He’ll be discussing what it’s like to act with one of the world’s most recognisably rugged faces,” reads the description of the event, “as well as offering exclusive Thrones insights.”
Tickets are going for £20 (about $25); you can get yours here.
Harington will also be talking about his role in an upcoming production of Sam Shepard’s True West, where he’ll star opposite Johnny Flynn (brother of Jerome Frynn, who plays Bronn on Thrones) at the Vaudeville Theater in London’s West End, starting on November 23.
The play is about two adult brothers who reconnect after a period of estrangement. Speaking to The Times UK, Harington said that his actual older brother “will find this play hilarious, because he used to kick the shit out of me.” Ha ha.
We’re very, very close, but we fought when we were younger. There’s something in this play that appeals to that side of me and my brother’s relationship, way back when. We were quite competitive. I won’t tell you what my brother used to do to me, because it was horrible. Actually, my brother attributes my whole career to the fact that I learnt to play at crying early on, being a little shit. He didn’t actually have to beat the crap out of me to get into trouble.
Also in heavy topics just brought up casually, Harington revealed that he almost drowned in a swimming pool at the tender age of four. “I was seconds away from death, apparently.”
Okay. Moving on.
In other news, Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) and Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell) will be judging parts of the London Film Festival, per Variety. Clarke will be part of the jury for the Official Competition. Dormer, on the other hand, is on the jury for the First Feature Competition, which hands out the Southerland Award.
