A famous Manchester United fan has provided his verdict as his team beat Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Things started brightly for Jurgen Klopp’s team at Old Trafford, scoring the opening goal of the game through Mohamed Salah which ended a run of back-to-back games without a goal.

The home side soon responded with an equaliser from Mason Greenwood, and took the lead early on in the second half through Marcus Rashford.

Credit to Liverpool, they responded again with Salah getting his second goal of the game, but a free-kick from Bruno Fernandes sent the Reds packing in the competition.

It means Liverpool have now won just one of their last seven matches in all competitions, and fail to get into at least the quarter final stage yet again in Klopp’s tenure.

Game of Thrones actor, and Man United fan, John Bradley is always vocal on Twitter about the team he supports, and has been so again soon after the final whistle.

“Let’s be honest, we’d have almost certainly been destroyed in this game 12 months ago. Massive progress.”

The actor has previously taken aim at Liverpool, saying Reds players should be ’embarrassed’ for posing with the Premier League and Champions League trophies, which they won along with the Club World Cup in 2019 and 2020.

But now he clearly believes his side are on a on a level with the Reds after progress in the past six months.

Liverpool will now have just the Premier League and Champions League to compete in for the rest of the season, and will be looking to return to winning ways when they face Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night in the league.
