Game of Thrones Season 8 is currently in production, with filming going on in Belfast, Northern Ireland. In the recent times we have heard a lot about how the show will not return till 2019, so all we can do till then is live off the leaks and the hype. Today we have our favorite, Liam Cunningham (Ser Davos Seaworth), who recently teased Season 8 in an interview, and boy did he have some great things to say about it! Read on!

Cunningham recently talked to Metro about Game of Thrones Season 8, giving us the much needed update, and hype, which had been slowing down these days. He started off speaking about how he was anxious before reading the Game of Thrones Season 8 scripts :

“I wasn’t getting peeved. I was getting excited and nervous. I wanted to see what was going on. One of the main reasons was that as an actor my ambition for this was to get to the last season, and I’ve been waiting on the scripts to see if I can get to the last episodes.

I have everything. I’ve read everything. I’ve seen everything, and we are well into shooting the last season now. It is a goer!”

Liam Cunningham says Game of Thrones pay rumors are false

He says he is impressed with the scripts, too. Apparently he was a bit late to the party, because of his busy schedule, and the security around them kept to prevent leaks, so he, along with Kit Harington (Jon Snow) had to read them directly at the table reads :

“So it was all new to us, and it is just, ‘Oohs,’ and, ‘Ahhs’. It is as it was in the past, it is just beautiful storytelling. Huge surprises. Wonderful stuff. I can safely say it will be a fantastic, fantastic finish to this incredible story.”

Game of Thrones showrunners discuss the explosive concluding scene of the season 7 finale

He also addressed how the reads were an emotional process for all the cast members, and how it is now the perfect time to bring the story to an end :

“The reason it is as big as it is and was is it is recognized by the audience that it is extraordinary storytelling and unique. At the end of this, we would be doing the story a disservice if we ran it out beyond its natural finish. It has always had a beginning, middle, and an end, and the guys said, ‘Look this story is going to take 70 hours of storytelling to get to the end of it.’ The meant from the get go it had a beginning, middle, and end. It still feels it is naturally coming to its end with the story that is there.”

So looks like Season 8 going to be the perfect ending all of us, and those behind the screen, deserve. Excited? We cannot wait for 2018 to begin and end, already! What about you? talk to us in the comments, down below!
