Game of Thrones (GoT) and Lord of the Rings (LotR) have something in common. Both are renowned and crowned fantasy genres of their respective time. LotR alone has over 450 awards and 800 nominations. Moreover, George R. R. Martin has talked a lot about how J. R. R. Tolkien’s work has inspired him to write his “A Song of Ice and Fire”. Such great TV entertainment deserves special treatment and that is why the music of these two franchises will feature in a concert!

Lord of the Rings and GoT Concert

Game of Thrones music was written by Ramin Djawadi. How can we even forget the great music he gave us in the final episodes of the show? On the other hand, Howard Shore is the genius behind Lord of the Ring Trilogy’s music. The concert makes all the sense just by thinking about what will we get to hear. It sounds like a dream to us!

There is a catch, though. The concerts are happening in the UK, so if you are near to this place you definitely should go there. Usher Hall, Edinburgh, Scotland will host the first concert show on June 11. Glasgow Royal Concert Hall will be hosting next on June 12.

The franchise inspired all sorts of artists, and this is just one of the consequences. Now we await professional musicians to get together to play a live concert orchestra. If the shows go well, there is a big chance that it can expand to other areas as well.

Think about listening to Jenny’s Song that Podrick sang just hours before the war:

This still gives me bone-chilling goosebumps. Perhaps, listening to one of Ramin Djawadi’s work “The Last War” will be fit for you all:

Leave out all the rest, why don’t we just listen to The Night King music from the battle with Night King:

If you are a Lord of the Rings fan, how about listening to the trilogy’s main theme itself:

Just go through this music line up above and think about how much better it would sound listening to it live? Live orchestra concerts are worth it. Moreover, when you have Lord of the Rings team up with Game of Thrones, why are you even sitting reading this and not buying that ticket?
