Game Of Thrones season eight might still be in the future for us fans, but for the cast it’s a done deal.
Maisie Williams wrapped her final scenes on the HBO epic last month – and made sure she took home a very special souvenir to remember them by.
Speaking to Nick Grimshaw on BBC Radio One, Williams revealed she’d kept Arya’s iconic brown leather jacket for her own.
‘I can imagine it being something that I’m like, “Oh, I was on this show once upon a time and this was the jacket I wore.” And my grandkids being like, “Please stop”‘, she joked.
Given the current heatwave, Maisie might have to wait a bit to make use of her new jacket.
But when winter finally comes, it could make for a useful addition to her wardrobe.
Maisie isn’t the only one to have taken a bit of the Thrones set home with her.
Kristian ‘hold the door’ Nairn took a literal door with him after wrapping Hodor’s final moments in season six.
Speaking at Comic Con in 2016, Nairn told fans, ‘I took a bit of one of the broken doors. I’m going to put it on my wall.’
More recently, Kit Harrington said he was desperate to get his mits on Jon Snow’s sword Longclaw.
‘There’s only one that I’ve ever wanted: I want my sword,’ he told Entertainment Tonight.
But it seems that might be a bit tougher to procure than Arya’s jacket or Hodor’s door.
‘The first season they were like, “Yeah, yeah, yeah, of course,”’ Harrington continued.
‘And as the seasons went on and the show became more and more popular and that sword’s value went up, they became slowly quieter about it.’
Tough luck, Kit.
But just imagine, how is Emilia Clarke going to look when she inevitably tries to sneak an entire dragon model of the set?
