Game of Thrones wrapped up filming nearly 3 years ago. Some of the fans were disappointed by the final season, whereas for others it was perfect. The controversial final season also divided the cast into two groups, one supporting the eighth season and the other wanting more. Maisie Williams starred as the many-faced assassin Arya Stark in the acclaimed series. Though she was one of the main protagonists and had one of the best storylines on the show, she has a very specific condition set in her mind for her return as Arya in any Game of Thrones spinoffs.
Rumors of Maisie’s return as Arya Stark have been in the air ever since the prequel House of The Dragon began filming, when fans wished to see Arya’s story beyond Game of Thrones, affectionately called “The West of Westeros”. She did return to play the role in Warner Bros. new game MultiVersus, but beyond that, she has no desire of playing her fan-favorite role until she has the right reason to do so.
In a recent interview with Variety, Maisie Williams talked about the possibility of her return as Arya in the future. She said, “No. Are you kidding?! I haven’t given anyone anything else to talk about yet. Of course, that’s what they’re gonna pick up on.”
“That’s what everyone wants from me. But they’re not going to get it until it’s the right time! It’s nice to know what people want from you, even if it’s not what you’re ready to give.”
