Get a look at Sean Bean in Snowpiercer season 2, Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) in his new detective movie, and more.

What are Game of Thrones stars up to over a year after the show came to an end? Quite a lot, as per usual.

First up, SyFy Wire got its hands on key art for the upcoming second season of Snowpiercer, coming to TNT next year. This TV version of Bong Joon-ho’s 2013 movie finds our heroes fighting for their dignity on a train that must always keep moving, lest it stop and the passengers — the last humans alive — be exposed to the frigid conditions outside.

The new season will bring in Game of Thrones veteran Sean Bean (Ned Stark) as the enigmatic villain Mr. Wilford. If history is any guide, he’ll be head by the end of these season, and quite possibly before that.

Sean Bean isn’t the only GoT vet with a new gig. Here’s Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) teasing his role in Beck: Undercover, the first of four new movies about iconic Swedish police detective Martin Beck, played here by Peter Haber.

That brings the total number of Beck films to almost 50 — the first one came out way back in 1967. Hivju is joining in a long tradition here!

In the new movie from C More Entertainment, Hivju plays a homicide investigator named Steinar Hovland. You can watch the trailer below:

Sticking with Scandinavian (and Scandinavian-influenced) countries, here’s Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (the Mountain) in a cheeky commercial for performance nutrition company Transparent Labs, which is encouraging a relaxed approach to shopping this holiday season:

I know I do all my online shopping outside in flip-flops near a snow-covered mountain. Don’t you?

Meanwhile, Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) is participating in Dazed’s partnership with #TOGETHERBAND, which aims to raise awareness for the UN’s crucial global goals, one of which is affordable and clean energy. To that end, Williams reads — or maybe “performs” is a better word — a section of a bill put forward last year as part of the Green New Deal, which aims to address the climate change crisis currently facing the world:

And finally, a couple of queens ditch face masks to adopt face shields, which look a lot more battle-ready:

A shame Cersei and Yara never went head-to-head on Game of Thrones, but I will accept Lena Headey and Gemma Whelan literally bumping heads sometime.
