The cast and crew of Game of Thrones are about halfway through filming on season 8, the lot of them bustling in and out of Belfast to shoot their scenes. As of this morning, Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) is back in Thrones country, according to a local:

Where exactly is she filming? That’s harder to tell. Williams could be going to Moneyglass, where the Winterfell set is; to Shane’s Castle, where they’re shooting scenes at [SPOILER DELETED]; to Titanic Studios, which has the King’s Landing set and tons of interiors; or to Linen Mills Studios, which has stood in for several locations over the years. The important thing is that she’s back and ready to cross more names off that list.

And when she’s not doing that, she’s promoting her new new movie, Early Man, a stop-motion animated feature where she plays a Bronze Age vendor who befriends a caveman (Eddie Redmayne). But you can bet that journalists will take every opportunity to get her and any other Game of Thrones cast member to talk about season 8, which is what happened when Williams sat down to talk with a reporter from Radio Times, below:

Here’s what Williams said when asked to describe the final season in one word:

It’s either going to be everything that everyone dreamed of, or it’s gonna be disappointing. It depends which side of the fence you’re going to sit on.  I think no matter what you do there’s definitely going to be that divide. It depends on what people want from the final season. I love it, but I don’t know. You never know.

That’s more than one word, but we appreciate the specificity.

Anyway, it appears that Williams has a firm grasp on the passionate Game of Thrones fanbase. It’s also heartwarming to hear that she’s already secured a position as bridesmaid at Sophie Turner’s wedding to Joe Jonas, although they won’t be working on that until after season 8 is done filming.

Finally, speaking to Sky News, Williams talked about what she’ll do after Thrones is over, saying she’d like to try her hand at theater. “It would be wonderful to constantly stay inside my comfort zone but I think I owe it to myself just keep pushing myself and wanting to do more different things and new and exciting things,” she said.

As for how she’ll avoid keeping the show’s secrets during this long offseason, Williams isn’t worried. At the end of the day, she’ll keep them for the fans’ own good:

It is (a long time) but I’ve never worried about it because I know that people don’t really want secrets and I don’t think that I’ve ever really struggled with it because people think that they want to know everything but as soon as they do it’s just underwhelming. Also I’m thrilled because it’s prolonging my final year on the show. I want it to last forever.

If only.
