Maisie Williams has shot down rumours she’ll be revisiting her Game Of Thrones role for a spin-off series.

The actress, who starred as Arya Stark in the fantasy drama, said goodbye to the feisty character when the show came to an end in May and though she admits it would be “wonderful” to continue portraying her, she has ruled out being a part of a production without the show’s original writers.

“I can hand-over-my-heart say that I don’t think there’s going to be a spin off,” Maisie tells Tings Magazine. “The show was only what it was because of David (Benioff) and Dan (Weiss), the show’s creators.”

She adds, “They brought me into this world and it would be strange to do something without them. But I do think playing Arya again would be wonderful. I miss her a lot. I think the show needs to stew for a little bit, but maybe a ways down the road…?”

For now, Williams is enjoying her downtime away from the set and she is reluctant to commit to another small screen role.

“Now that I’ve been given some time off, it’s not like I’m never going to act again, but I’m just trying to figure out some other things that I enjoy,” she shares. “I don’t want to sign another 10-year contract for a while. A lot of TV is incredible right now but those shooting schedules are just wild.”

She continues: “At the moment, I’m just reading a lot and figuring out what’s out there.”
