- Maisie Williams opened up about her last day as Arya Stark, and it sounds…actually good?
- Other GoT actors have been talking about their characters’ fates, and let’s just say that they were *way* less encouraging.
The last season of Game of Thrones is in just a few WEEKS, but that won’t stop me from continuing to read into every little thing that the cast says to try and figure out how this whole thing ends (obviously).
We’ve already gotten some none-too-encouraging words about the series ending from both Gwendoline Christie (who said “I think just the show ending is going to send all of the world into professional help”) and Emilia Clarke (she said she walked around for “three hours, aimlessly” after learning the final fate of Daenerys), so things aren’t looking great for some of the show’s most beloved characters.
But luckily it seems like things might end okay for at least one fave, aka Arya Stark. Maisie Williams recently opened up to S/ Magazine about what it was like saying goodbye to the character, and honestly, it doesn’t sound half bad!
She said, “This whole season was really, really emotional. When I came to shoot my final scene, I had already watched a lot of people wrap and seen all the tears and heard all the speeches…It was just a really beautiful day, and a really great final scene for me. It felt like the right time to say goodbye to Arya.”
Now that doesn’t sound like Arya came to a classically horrific GoT death, right?? Regardless, I’ll probably still be freaking out about it until April 14th.
