Maisie Williams hangs out with Taylor Swift and shows off her new bleached blonde hair (and eyebrows) at the 2021 BRIT Awards.

As Arya Stark on Game of Thrones, Maisie Williams famously sported a brunette bob. But now that the show is receding into the rearview mirror, she’s changing things up for other roles. At the moment, she’s playing punk model Pamela Rooke, also known as Jordan, in Pistol, an upcoming miniseries about punk band the sex pistols.

Jordan was known for her short platinum blonde locks, and Williams has followed suit. She showed them off in style the other night at the 2021 BRIT Awards, when she presented a global icon award to Taylor Swift.

I think it’s the bleached blonde eyebrows that are giving me a bit of an uncanny feeling.

Anyway, Swift was a little starstruck to get an award from Arya. “Anyone who knows me at all knows that Game of Thrones is my life,” she said. “So, the fact that Maisie was here to present this, I want to grab you. I can’t, since we’re social distancing, but thank you so much for coming here to do this.”

That said, the pair did get a couple of pictures together backstage:

Swift is a well-known Game of Thrones nut, to the point where she’s admitted to basing several songs on the show. For instance, “Look What You Made Me Do” is inspired by Arya Stark’s kill list, which is why this little video tickles me so:

Collab?

There’s no word on when Pistol may come out, but I daresay that Williams will be able to bring the appropriate amount of punk rock energy to the role.
