Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams stunned viewers of the Brit Awards last night when she appeared on stage with invisible eyebrows and bleached hair, as she continues to film the upcoming Danny Boyle Sex Pistols biopic.
Maisie stars as model Jordan Mooney in the upcoming series Pistol, which chronicles the early days of the punk icons as they swiftly became the most anarchic band in UK music, and has been snapped parading through the streets of London topless, which she said has been ‘liberating’.
The 24-year-old gave Taylor Swift the Brit Award for Global Icon last night, and fans were amazed by her new look.
‘It was lovely to see Maisie Williams at the Brits – even she looked unrecognizable,’ write one viewer, which was echoed by another wanting to emulate the look.
‘Maisie williams got me wanting to dye my eyebrows blonde now,’ they wrote.
Mocking the ‘unrecognisable’ photos of Leonardo DiCaprio this week, in which he looks exactly like Leonardo DiCaprio, one more tweeted: ‘Maisie Williams did a thousand percent bigger transformation by bleaching her hair & eyebrows for the Brits (& looked good with it, which is tricky to pull off) than DiCaprio with his, uhhhh, aging at a normal rate between movies).’
‘Maisie Williams going with a very very early Madonna look and I love it,’ said one more.
Maisie was snapped having a wild night with Taylor backstage, as they celebrated the Blank Space hitmaker’s colossal win.
Game of Thrones superfan Taylor even seemed starstruck by the Arya Stark actress.
‘Anyone how knows me at all knows that Game of Thrones is my life so the fact Maisie was here to present this – I want to grab you but I can’t, we’re social distancing,’ she said accepting her prize.
Although, said social distancing appeared to go out of the window backstage.
Other notable moments at last night’s bash included Harry Styles confusing fans with an American accent, Little Mix making history as the first girl band to win Best Group, and Lewis Capaldi’s sweary speech almost being entirely censored by ITV.
The Brit Awards 2021 is available to stream on ITV Hub now.
