Not only is Sophie Turner preparing for the eighth and final season of Game Of Thrones to finally hit our screens, but she is also slap bang in the middle of planning a wedding.
Sophie is set to wed Joe Jonas and it sounds like her BFF and co-star Maisie Williams (who plays Sansa’s onscreen sister Ayra Stark) will literally be helping her down the aisle.
Yup, Maisie is Sophie’s Maid of Honour (well, one of two) and the news just fills our heart with so much joy.
If we could just have Jon Snow as best man, Ned Stark as father of the groom and Samwell Tarly officiating things… too much? Ok, too much.
Sophie revealed the sweet news while attending the season eight premiere of Game Of Thrones in New York.
She was discussing what Maisie will be wearing to her big day and told Entertainment Tonight: ‘I don’t know why she’s thinking about [what she’s wearing to my wedding].
‘I’m giving her the bridesmaid dress. She’s my maid of honour! One of two.’
Just think of the wedding photos. We’re so here for this.
Sophie had attended the premiere with hubby-to-be Joe and gushed that he is the ‘best support’. She told the publication: ‘It means so much to have him here.
‘It’s just, like, the best support. [He’s] the best person to calm me down and keep me calm, and if I end up crying, I have a shoulder to cry on. So, it’s good. I’m so happy that he’s here.’
There’s no doubt that things got a little emotional at the premiere, as the cast came together to watch the last season’s first episode before it hits screens.
Old favourites from the show turned out too including Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo), Kristian Nairn (Hodor) and, of course, Kit Harington’s wife Rose Leslie, who played Jon Snow’s old love Ygritte.
The cast seemed to have a ball during their reunion (that after-party looked pretty lit, people), but John Bradley, who plays Sam on the show, still had time to tease a little of what’s to come.
Speaking about the finale (via Hollywood News), John said: ‘People have often asked what my reaction was when reading the final script, were you excited or disappointed. My main reaction was just one of really intense relief.
‘Just relief that it wasn’t an ending that we were going to be ashamed of. A few shows have been great all the way through, but then the ending has let everyone down.
‘We don’t want to be that. So we were just really relieved that we can go out there and tell people we’re proud of it and mean it.
‘This show has never really bothered itself with keeping people happy. Ned Stark dying, the Red Wedding, they don’t make people happy, but they make people satisfied dramatically.
‘So when people say, are we going to be happy with the ending? I don’t know, because I don’t know what you want.
‘I know that lots of people have lots of different ways they want it to end. What you will get is a satisfying ending.
